Dear Important Property Stakeholder

The intention to establish a Special Rating Area (SRA) along and adjacent to Voortrekker Road through Parow and Bellville.

As a property owner, resident or member of the community in the area you are no doubt well aware of the serious problems along and adjacent to Voortrekker Road through Parow and Bellville.  Crime and grime, homelessness, aggressive begging, informal car guards, prostitution and drug dealing are escalating along Voortrekker Road through Parow and Bellville. These problems are of great concern and need to be effectively addressed.

Radio Tygerberg supported by the Bellville Sakekamer has taken the initiative to seek solutions to these problems, and they are appealing for your support in establishing a Special Ratings Area (SRA).  Your participation and support in establishing this SRA, will not only be greatly appreciated, it will also lead to significant upgrading of the public urban environment of your property.

In order for the VRCID to become operational by 1 July 2012 a signed consent form needs to be completed by the property owner or representative and lodged with the VRCID office on or before the 25th of September 2011. Without yours and the support of other commercial property owners, the process of establishing the VRCID and working towards a safer and cleaner community will simply not go ahead. We are therefore appealing to you to support us to considerably improve and upgrade the public environment to the benefit of us all.

Currently, following international best practice, there are twenty three SRA’s, formerly known as CID’s operating efficiently in Cape Town. Therefore the VRCID in partnership with you the property owners in the area aims to create a safer, cleaner and rejuvenated environment for all.

Your support for this initiative is critical! Accordingly please will you kindly complete and sign the enclosed consent form. This will be greatly appreciated.
